ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK


Job Summary

As an Administrative Clerk in our Finance Team your primary responsibilities will include posting customer payments and preparing the daily deposit.


Job Duties

  • Organize and submit invoices to customers along with monthly billing statements
  • Post payments to customer accounts
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Draft correspondence for past-due accounts in addition to calling to follow up on payment status
  • Daily input of merchant terminal settlement reports into reconciliation spreadsheet
  • Resolve customers invoice and statement queries
  • Assist accountant with reconciling queries and retrieve sales data and/or receipts as needed
  • Organize and file daily cashiers’ sales receipts and reports and prepare documents for long-term storage


Requirements & Skillsets

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Grocery or Retail industry knowledge/experience preferable but not essential.
  • High school diploma or higher education degree.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Programs (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively and follow guidance and instructions from Management.
  • Competent and accurate when dealing with financial data.
  • Ability to think critically with analytical and numerical skills.
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality, at all times, when dealing with business related information.
  • Experience with accounting-based software such as Acumatica is a plus.


Work Hours

40 hour work week. Willingness to work weekends, public holidays and flexible hours if required. 


Compensation

CI$10.00 – CI$13.00 per hour, depending on experience.
